Are you looking to join a team where you can help form a key part of the Asset Integrity Programs team and assist in the development, implementation and continual improvement of the asset integrity program that implements management system requirements for all asset classes? The Enbridge Pipeline Integrity Department is currently looking for a Sr. Pipeline Integrity Planning Engineer to join its dynamic team! In this role you will execute the Core Process on all threat management programs on assigned segments of the Enbridge GTM system.

What you will be doing:
  • Conduct Pipeline Integrity assessment and analysis for Pipeline Integrity threat management programs related to the Enbridge GTM system, including Corrosion, Crack, Deformation Threat Management and Threat Integration.
  • Conduct and support data analyses supporting of the integrity programs, including analysis of In-Line Inspection, Direct Assessment, Hydrotesting and Nondestructive Examination (NDE) field results.
  • Support the implementation of the overall integrity management processes.
  • Support data integration and records management activities (digs, ILI, QA/QA) relating to core functions.
  • Support the completion of validation and quality assurance of In-Line Inspection run reports and range direct assessment reports.
  • Ensure the continued compliance of integrity management processes with US and Canadian regulations, standards, and best practices. Participate in regulatory audits as required.
  • Lead focus projects related to assigned lines such as pressure restriction removal, audits, failure investigation, engineering assessments, etc.
  • Provide a weekly status report summarizing activities.
  • Support the enhancement/update of integrity management processes.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Lead and review and approve threat programs as assigned.
  • Mentor and support stakeholders outside of PI Planning on integrity matters.
  • Mentor and support PI Planning Engineers.
  • Support Pipeline Integrity Engineering as assigned.

Who you are:
  • You have:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognized university or college.
    • 6+ years of engineering and Pipeline Integrity experience.
  • You can:
    • Provide specialized knowledge around Pipeline Integrity.
    • Drive disciplined analysis through utilizing computer software, excel spreadsheets and data analysis tools necessary to conduct detailed data analyses.
    • Embrace change through the ability to seek process improvements.
    • Communicate effectively with excellent presentation and technical writing skills.
    • Influence and work effectively with others.
    • Support team success through mentoring junior Staff.

Working Conditions:
  • Approximately 80% Office Environment and 20% in a field office or facilities outside operations in all types of weather.
  • Travel up to 10%.
  • Must be able to remain calm and focused during emergency situations.
  • May be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Will work with high pressure piping.
  • May work in excavations.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment may be above 90 dBA.
  • Works to meet concrete regulatory deadlines under facility operating authorizations.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
