Summary/Objective
The Sr Manager, Supply Planning reports to the VP, Planning and Transformation and will be a key contributor as Zevia continues to evolve and grow. The Planning Manager will provide direction and oversight to the Supply planning team. Primary areas of focus will be to lead a team of planners, maintain relationships with co-pack partners and ensure production plans align with inventory targets.

  • Ability to influence, develop and lead a team of planners
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all supply related issues, projects, and resolutions.
  • Lead Supply S&OP meetings and serve as main POC for fulfillment discussions
  • Implement best practice SOPs for effective management of inventories, production planning, and planning system utilization
  • Oversee purchase order submissions for co-pack production, ensuring they are submitted timely, accurately and within budget.
  • Coordinate submission of monthly rolling forecasts along with production POs per our established calendar.
  • Work cross-functionally with quality, sales, packaging, marketing and customer fulfillment departments on key company objectives, product launches, running changes and special projects
  • Ensure all co-pack and supplier orders are submitted with appropriate lead time and 6-month rolling forecasts are being submitted concurrently
  • Manage inventory levels to align with company DOS (days of supply) targets by location, package and flavor
  • Implement, or improve upon, process of identifying OOD (out of date) risk and report monthly to management and sales along with proposed strategies for mitigating losses
  • Build supply strategies that align total inventory ownership with company objectives
  • Work closely with NetSuite team to ensure all master data is accurate; inclusive of costing, BOMs, item attributes and all other data relevant to the NetStock planning system
  • Be the systems expert for the Smoothie planning system. Own the management and setting of parameters that will drive system recommendations and efficiencies
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. Handles training, development and disciplinary actions as needed
  • Build team bench strength and foster an environment of continuous improvement and growth
  • Conduct cross-functional meetings and facilitate collaboration as needed to problem solve, identify areas of improvement and align on company goals
  • Manages and measures work. Clearly assigns responsibility for tasks and decisions; sets clear objectives and measures; monitors process, progress, and results; designs feedback loops into work
  • Develop and prepare ad hoc reporting as needed, including KPIs reporting (key performance indicators) as well as diagnostic measures to analyze and recommend courses of action for Supply Planning improvements
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in Supply Planning, inventory management and production scheduling, preferably within the beverage or CPG industry (experience should include managing a team).

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP systems (i.e. NetSuite) and MRP planning systems
  • Advanced Excel experience manipulating spreadsheet data using filters, functions (VLookup, Pivot, etc.) and worksheet formulas.
  • Highly self-motivated, excels working autonomously and operates effectively in any organizational structure.
  • Proven management skills and ability to manage day-to-day operations
  • Analytical with a methodical, data driven approach to problem solving
  • Strong sense of urgency & attention to detail
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Mathematics, Supply Chain or related field preferred

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibility. Prior Experience would be a value
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours and must work 40 hours each week. On rare occasion, evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
This position does not require travel but may require some for cross training and development.

Salary Description
$106,000 - $120,000 Annually + Bonus + Equity
