Position Summary:
The Sr Manager, Brand Marketing and PR oversees Inmar's brand, enterprise marketing, and PR efforts, developing plans to communicate key messages, manage the company's reputation, and deliver value to both internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is both a creative and strategic thinker, with exceptional interpersonal skills that enable him or her to build trust and credibility among Inmar leadership, Corporate Marketing & Communications, as well as cross-functional teams throughout the company. He or she will have strong planning, presenting and organizational skills to ensure alignment/sell-in and successful execution of marketing, media and PR programs that support the overall business. Experience managing a marketing team is required. This individual must be driven, results-oriented, with an eye for continuous improvement and measurable impact.
This position is hybrid for candidates who live within 35 miles of Inmar’s corporate headquarters in Winston-Salem - requiring 3 days a week in office. Remote candidates outside of the 35-mile radius will also be considered.
Primary Accountabilities
Strategic (25%)
Oversee Brand Marketing, media, PR and website strategies in line with overall business objectives
Help shape, refine and bring Inmar’s brand story to life
Plan, execute, optimize, and measure marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness, enterprise value, and drive our business forward
Develop and implement PR strategies, including taking a leadership role in crisis management situations
Monitor local, national news coverage to identify opportunities for newsjacking and identity potential competitive threats; identify and respond to rapid response inbound press inquiries.
Develop and manage annual PR plans, including budgets, timelines, etc
Leadership (50%)
Oversee the creation, maintenance, and adherence to Brand Marketing guidelines and assets, including logos, taglines and other visual elements. Maintain and communicate Inmar’s media policies in support of the brand
Oversee a marketing team including website management, creative, PR and paid media
Collaborate with creative teams to develop cross-channel marketing materials and campaigns that uphold the Inmar brand and maintain consistency
Develop and implement PR strategies, including taking a leadership role in crisis management situations
Manage Inmar’s PR agency and oversee their activities, contracts and relationships
Work closely with PR agency, business units and leadership teams to coordinate and prepare announcements for organizational news, company events, changes in leadership and other important company information
Work with the internal and external communications team to share PR and marketing messages internally and on owned channels (social, website, intranet etc)
Identify, plan and execute promotional events such as press tours and conferences
Represent the organization at press conferences, interviews, etc.
Influence (15%)
Responsible for upholding Inmar’s brand and ensuring impactful and consistent messaging across channels and touchpoints
Build relationships with key reporters at various publications that serve the industries to drive Inmar’s leadership positioning
In conjunction with the PR firm, media train all spokespeople
Analytical (10%)
Lead reporting efforts including quantitative and qualitative metrics, learnings and adjustments
Analyze media coverage and opportunities and draft timely and appropriate responses and content
Required Qualifications:
BA in Marketing or Communications
10+ years of related marketing experience and a successful track record of developing and implementing strategic brand & marketing initiatives
Experience with various marketing channels, including paid media and PR.
Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and lead cross-functional teams
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and storytelling skills
Creative thinker with a passion for brand-building
Proficient in G-Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
