Purpose:
The Senior HR Generalist will play a crucial role in the Human Resources team by managing several key activities to help the Toppan Photomasks Round Rock, Inc. meet its goal of being an "Employer of Choice" in the market which it operates.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee new hire onboarding process by contacting references, completing background checks, and collecting all needed employee documents and other related material
- Support new hire employee onboarding experience
- Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, benefits, leaves, etc.) in both paper and HRIS
- Support administration of performance management and review programs and assist management team in performance management activities throughout the year
- Provide needed details in response to audits, and relevant EEO, AAP and ethics reporting expectations
- Maintain policy manuals and produce written updates and revisions as need
- Support payroll and benefits managers as needed during weekly, monthly, and annual activities to ensure accuracy or related policies
- Enter data accurately into the HRIS system to track new and existing employees and changes in job assignments, personal information and related
- Manage and oversee leaves of absences
- Oversee exit-interview process
- Set up, track, and collect relevant Human Resources metrics and KPIs
- Participate in calls with team members from corporate headquarters office affiliated companies in the EU and Asia
- Support improvement of relations between staff and employers
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of five to seven years of HR experience resolving complex employee relations issues preferably in a high-tech, manufacturing environment
- Broad and working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, performance management, legal and regulatory compliance, and ethics compliance
- Bachelor's degree preferred, Equivalent experience may substitute for Degree
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
- Strong writing skills
- Proficiency using HR technology (such as an HRIS) to implement and maintain HR activities and, apply HR management practices
- Proficiency with the MS Office Suite
- Knowledge and/or experience with national and state labor law, and tax and social security regulations
- Excellent relationship building skills and strong customer service orientation
- Ability to empathize with others
