Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources General Manager to join our rapidly growing team in a senior role! This is for a well-established, large, national food distribution company located in the city of Redlands, California. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment process, developing and implementing of HR policies, managing employee relations and retention, and ensuring compliance with labor laws across multiple states and locations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the principles of Human Resources management and a proven track record of success in the field. Responsibilities:
- Uphold and implement company culture, values and policies.
- Oversee HR teams in several locations across multiple states.
- Oversee the onboarding and hiring strategies for startup locations.
- Be readily available to travel to a wide variety of locations across multiple states. (80%).
- Organize and coordinate fun events for employee and staff in multiple locations.
- Discover or create new ways of employee retention and make retention and development a focal point.
- Oversee data entry and maintenance of employee records.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and concerns.
Qualifications:
- 15-20 years of previous experience in Human Resources Management
- 5 years of experience in HR General Manager role
- SHRM Certified
- Bachelor's Degree
- High level multi-tasking and recordkeeping.
- Experience in conflict resolution.
- Fundamental knowledge of labor and employment laws
- Ability to build rapport with all employees.
- Experience working in a large market across multiple states.
- Experience working with staffing agencies (preferred).
