Offering both public equity and fixed income strategies, BBH Investment Management seeks to generate attractive absolute and relative long-term investment returns over full market cycles. BBH Investment Management's four main equity strategies, with approximately $15.5 billion in combined AUM, are all actively managed concentrated portfolios:
Core Select - the flagship equity fund focused primarily on the highest quality US large cap companies
Equity Income - building upon Core Select investment principles and criteria, a slightly more diversified US large cap portfolio that seeks to generate attractive and relative dividend growth and yield
BBH Mid Cap - a concentrated equity strategy focused on high quality US mid-cap equities
1818 Partners Fund - a highly concentrated private fund focused on high quality smaller capitalization companies
BBH is seeking to hire an Equity Analyst working to support both the Core Select and Equity Income strategies, with a primary focus on the Consumer Discretionary and Consumer Staples sectors.
The Core Select and Equity Income strategies employ a long-term business-ownership approach and utilize an intrinsic value framework. Analysts seek to identify well managed, structurally advantaged, durable cash flow generative businesses that meet demanding qualitative criteria and are trading at reasonable valuations relative to their intrinsic value. The Core Select and Equity Income strategies will generally hold investments in 25-40 and 25-50 companies, respectively. Investments decisions are made using disciplined and collaborative bottom-up research and portfolio management driven processes.
The analyst will identify, analyze and recommend US stocks for inclusion in the Core Select and Equity Income portfolios that meet the product's business, management and valuation criteria. They will evaluate potential investments through industry and financial statement analysis as well as conduct primary due diligence, build/update financial and valuation models, and conduct valuation analysis utilizing appropriate methodologies.
The analyst will prepare written investment summaries, due-diligence files and quarterly company updates and will support strong long-term investment performance via a commitment to excellence in equity research.

Candidate Profile
  • 8+ years Buy-Side or Combined Sell-Side/Buy-Side Equity Analyst experience
  • The Analyst will possess an investment framework and philosophy that encompasses a bottom-up, long-term mentality and a bias towards deep and thorough due diligence
  • The Analyst's career experience and personal investment philosophy should align with BBH's bottom-up, discount to intrinsic value investment research framework
  • While generalist investment experience is appreciated and additive, the ideal candidate will have deep and extensive experience in the Consumer (Discretionary and Staples) sector
  • The Analyst will be an excellent communicator, exhibit expertise in forming data-driven recommendations, and debate the validity of an investment idea in a highly collaborative environment
  • This individual will make recommendations, verbally and in written form, and exhibit a high level of comfort discussing recommendations in both ad hoc and formal settings
  • The successful candidate will be hands-on, proactive and thrive in a highly collaborative team setting
  • An advanced degree and/or a charter holder of the CFA is preferred but not essential
  • The successful candidate will possess strong accounting and financial statement analysis skills and the have the ability to build and maintain financial models

Salary Range
$170,000-$200,000
BBH's compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
