Senior Analyst, Equity Research - Biotechnology

Our team is looking for Equity Research to join our award-winning team of sell-side Equity Researchers covering the biotechnology and biopharmaceutical sectors, with a focus on either oncology or neurology. We are specifically seeking individuals with exceptional quantitative and analytical skills and a passion for the securities industry. This is a unique opportunity to work with and learn from some of the most talented professionals in the securities industry.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Build and lead a team, viewed as leading experts on the Biotech industry
• Conduct ongoing industry/company research and due diligence
• Publish timely and differentiated research reports
• Maintain detailed, best-in-class financial models
• Interface actively with company management teams, and originate unique client events
• Communicate views and build rapport with institutional clients and internal constituencies
• Perform other tasks and duties as required and assigned

Experience and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, preferably in the life sciences
• Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD or equivalent) preferred
• FINRA Series 7, 86 and 87 licenses required, upon entry, or immediately thereafter
• Deep sell-side or buy-side Equity Research experience preferred
• Deep knowledge of the Biotech industry
• Expert command of financials, superb quantitative and analytical skills
• Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong network of industry contacts
• Extremely strong work ethic, drive to succeed, and desire to build a differentiated business
• Open to Biotech industry experts/veterans, in lieu of the above

The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the current hiring range is $175,000 to $200,000. Colleagues may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on the colleague's and the firm's performance. Decisions regarding compensation are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
