WHAT YOU’LL DO:

We are looking for an eager, self-starter to join the Email Marketing team. The Senior Email Marketing Specialist will work within the ESP and perform development, planning, segmentation, scheduling, QA, and analysis of up to 15 campaigns per week along with global localizations and translations. The senior specialist will be accountable for the largest brand in the portfolio encompassing all categories (i.e. Mens, Womens,), and thus, responsible for greater revenue targets and traffic numbers. This role will have the unique opportunity to work on broader digital marketing projects across multiple disciplines. As a key member of the department, this individual will be integral to growing the brand’s reach and strengthening our connection with our customers. This person must be highly motivated, both detail and deadline-oriented, and can thrive in a hybrid working environment. The ideal candidate continually seeks to improve email performance and their skillset as they relate to driving e-commerce website traffic, acquiring new customers, and nurturing the customer relationship pre-and-post conversion.

  • Be the Email & SMS expert for your brand(s).
  • Develop the execution of Email Marketing strategies from start to finish delivering results.
  • Coordinate and manage the day-to-day Email and SMS marketing campaigns for your brand(s), improving performance.
  • sTarget and segment customers using a thoughtful strategy across multiple touchpoints. Manage list, unsubscribes, and testing lists.
  • Work with Digital Graphic Designer, Merchandising as well as Brand department leads in the development of key promotional activity, go-to-market campaigns, product launches and website communications.
  • Provide creative content teams directives for the specific creative required for your asset, audience and brand voice to meet department objectives.
  • Create/write marketing emails consistent with brand using HTML/CSS and Content Builder using Email Marketing best practices.
  • Upload, manage settings, test, and deploy marketing emails
  • Update and maintain the Email Marketing calendars to ensure the right emails/marketing campaigns are being pushed to ensure we are meeting revenue expectations and growth.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Email Marketing-specific KPIs. Measure and analyze email and campaign performance metrics, develop reports, and generate insights to continuously iterate and improve engagement
  • Keep up to date and provide feedback to brands on email best practices/strategies
  • Preform a variety of A/B tests
  • Trains new email team members on ESP
  • Other team members use Senior Specialist as a resource to help them with workflows our troubleshooting.
  • Look for new ways on how to improve process
  • Lead the email team in Quality Assurance protocol to ensure flawless sends
  • Work on broader digital marketing projects across multiple disciplines.
  • Perform end to end quality checks, ensuring content accuracy, functioning links/landing pages, assessing segmentation, and produce campaigns in a timely manner. Test creative integrity through email rendering service
  • Create and analyze email consumer journeys and automations for Email Marketing where necessary with Email Marketing Managers guidance
  • Meet revenue goals and key performance targets in applicable marketing channels.
  • Be a thought-starter to improve, acquire and convert customers based on customer funnel state.
  • Provide detailed weekly & monthly reporting and analytics to be shared with key stakeholders.
  • As an ever-evolving business, other duties may be assigned or required.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree: marketing, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of hands-on Email Marketing experience; email channel management is preferred.
  • Ecommerce and/or web background, though not required.
  • Experience working in an enterprise-level ESP. Klaviyo, SMSBump, and/or Shopify experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of customer segmentation and targeting techniques.
  • Copywriting and basic image editing and cropping
  • Strong software aptitude and fast learner.
  • Strong working knowledge of email specific HTML/CSS
  • Understanding of Email Marketing principles including CAN SPAM and best practices.
  • Photoshop, XD experience is a plus.
  • Attention to detail. You double/triple check everything.
  • Strong organization and time management.
  • An agile team member with ability to juggle high priority initiatives and pivot quickly.
  • Team player; has exceptional communication skills to collaborate across multiple departments; also works well independently.
  • Competence to problem-solve independently.
  • Results-driven and customer-centric mindset.
  • Dependable and a genuine, positive attitude.
  • Passion for the active sports lifestyle (Surf, Skate, Snowboard) and/or Fashion.
  • Experience in analytics tools (ex. Google Analytics, PowerBI, Looker Studio, Adobe Analytics).
  • Proficient in project management platforms such as: Asana, Trello, ClickUp, Air Table, Monday.com, Excel and other Microsoft / Google programs.

Liberated Brands is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Costa Mesa, CA is $65k - $75k. This position is hybrid and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skill set, certifications, and specific work location.
