Position Summary
The Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for creating compelling, personalized email communications that nurture and convert leads and drive traffic to our websites. This position will develop Email Marketing strategies for each of our customer personas and own the execution of Email Marketing processes including workflows, segmentation, list building and management, testing, reporting, and optimization. This position will also coordinate with the rest of the marketing team to better understand all customer touchpoints and how to best leverage emails within customers’ journeys.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive email list growth through creative opt-in strategies including partnering with key organizations
- Build and optimize email content segmentation and personalization strategies by leveraging analytics on user behavior and activity.
- Lead planning and oversee execution for Email Marketing calendar, with an acute focus on content-focused emails.
- Oversee the content of campaigns, including proofreading copy, design, mobile optimization, personalization, and more.
- Drive execution of new triggers, automation and personalization tactics.
- Develop an ongoing testing strategy for variables such as template, content, calls-to-action, timing and frequency.
- Produce weekly reports on email performance and provide insights for optimization. Use reports to analyze customer data to maximize campaign performance.
- Research and recommend appropriate Email Marketing tools and software.
- Keep up-to-date with latest best practices, strategies, and industry standards.
- Ensure email compliance (including CCPA) and spam regulations (CAN-SPAM)
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Email Marketing experience
- Strong eye for design. Previous design experience preferred.
- Excellent copywriting skills.
- Strong technical knowledge of email service providers - from platform implementation to day-to-day experience with campaign execution.
- Demonstrated history of growing email engagement and revenue through list growth, continuous testing, personalization and segmentation, and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with HTML and responsive email templates is a plus
- Ability to oversee lots of moving parts with strong attention to detail
