As an expert in defense programs, contracts, and procurements, you will lead the capture and teaming for all potential defense IT and professional services opportunities within the supporting agencies. You must be resourceful, energetic, and eager to build new partnerships while leveraging existing strong relationships with executives in the defense IT and professional services space.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build and execute the growth strategy within the defense ecosystem. Collaborate with top leadership across the company to align and implement to the strategy.
- Collaborate closely with Swingtech's Deputy CTO and Innovations Officer and Chief Technology Officer to promote defense specific solutions.
- Build opportunity pipelines based on successful partnerships with the industry and the customer knowledge.
- As a member of the Business Development team, lead and support the discovery and nurturing of targeted contracts and customers.
- Target and create new strategies for increasing business in highly competitive agencies.
- Establishes and sustains a professional rapport with industry and agency leaders to include but not limited to agency group and division directors, public officials, and other defense providers.
- Responds to all Business Development opportunities.
- Participates in industry wide and agency wide conferences and events both in-person and virtually to market Swingtech and identify potential service opportunities and partnerships.
- Proven success of building positive partnerships with small and large organizations.
- Consistent track record of successful capture leading to proposal win.
- Understands the Best in Class contract vehicles (e.g. CIO-SP3/4, OASIS, GSA MAS, STARS III, HCaTS)
- Experience with leading and closing agreements associated with joint ventures, sub-contracting, or other complex alliances.
- Bachelor's degree and 15+ overall years of program management, capture, or Business Development experience in the federal space.
- Can present sophisticated marketing and technical content to customers.
- Proven ability to have a strong technical foundation to establish credibility with customers and/or internal partners.
