Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Senior Developer/Analyst, JDE to be based out of our corporate office in Mokena, IL. Reporting to the Director of Application Development, this person will be responsible for providing both development and technical support on the JD Edwards Enterprise One platform.

What you’ll do:

The JDE Sr. Developer/Analyst is a resource to provide both development and technical support on the JD Edwards Enterprise One platform as we continue down our digital roadmap.  This person will be a part of the team working with business users to design system solutions to meet current and future business requirements. A strong communicator with excellent technical skills who can accomplish software requirements by developing / maintaining applications and databases at a high technical level.

Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Participate in the development and post implementation support of JD Edwards (JDE) Enterprise One enhancement projects/tickets.
• Perform modifications to existing JDE objects, table conversions/interface development using JDE Development Toolset (Object Management Workbench).
• Proficient in JDE development including Form Design Aid, RDA and NER.
• Develop JDE APIs using Orchestrator for integrating Web & Portal services.
• Good Debugging skills using the standard Debug tool and Server Logs.
• Provide technical analysis and problem resolution support requests received from system users located in disparate company locations.
• Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions by presenting development options based on best practices.
• Produce user documentations for applications developed, help develop and maintain robust test environments and procedures.
• Participate in internal Lean and Kaizen events.
• Provide technical support and mentoring for the JDE Enterprise One tools to other IT staff.
• All other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring:

• BS / BA in Computer Science, Business, or related field of study highly desired.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in JDE development and IT Applications Development
• Experience with JD Edwards ERP 9.2 or later development, BSFN programming
• Very good knowledge of Enterprise One Tool Set, Event Rules & Business Functions
• Must have ability to work well with others in a dynamic team environment and have strong verbal & written communication skills.
• Knowledge in JDE Finance, SOM, Inventory, Warehousing, Distribution & Manufacturing, Procure to Pay modules.
• Experience with warehouse data collection software such as RF Smart and Oracle DRM is highly desired.

Within 3 months, you’ll:

• Have successfully completed your onboarding and immersion program, with a full understanding of what’s expected of you as well as who the stakeholders are that you’ll work closely with.
• Have a thorough understanding of Atkore’s digital roadmap and IT priorities, both short and long-term.
• Have exposure to JDE development and be successfully resolving tickets autonomously.

Within 6 months, you’ll:

• Be managing several tickets and/or projects, working with the end-users.
• Be working with business analysts on understanding functional specifications as well as creating technical specifications.
• Be working closely with peers on the IT team on achieving KPI’s, contributing ideas in the name of continuous improvement, regularly reviewing progress, establishing countermeasures where needed, and working collaboratively to achieve group objectives.

Within 12 months, you’ll:

• Be extremely proactive in addressing the backlog of tickets, thinking both critically and strategically while partnering extremely well with our business analysts.
• Be fully utilizing all JDE system enhancements to ensure effectiveness, not just tactically but as an enthusiastic advocate for the JDE system, its possibilities, and the digital roadmap generally.
