The ERP Analyst & Developer will be responsible for the administration, analysis, development, and user support for Microsoft’s Business Central. The role will work with all levels of management and process owners (Finance, Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse, Production, Graphics, Marketing, Quality) to manage operational aspects of Business Central with a focus on system configuration, standardization, data integration, data quality and technical issue resolution.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Partners with cross-functional business process owners to elicit functional and non-functional requirements and potential streamlining opportunities.
- Reviews, analyses, debugs and modifies certain elements of the ERP for better usability.
- Provides ERP functional, configuration and development expertise for Finance, Sales, Inventory Management and MRP functions.
- Assist the business with validating results through testing including integration and user acceptance testing.
- Manages the configuration and setup of third-party ERP-related solutions – Insight Works (Dynamic Ship, WMS, Shop Floor, Order Fulfilment), Avalara, VersaPay.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date technical, functional and process documentation.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving level 1 and level 2 support in a timely manner via IT help-desk system.
- Work with end users to provide best practices and tips on ERP usage including training, when required.
- Perform and own regular test and production environment refreshes and other data refresh activities.
- Design and generate reports that support better decision-making cross-functionally.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- 3+ years relevant experience as a functional consultant for Microsoft Business Central / Navision.
- Minimum 1 year of Business Central / Navision development experience.
- Demonstrated full-life cycle ERP experience (Microsoft Business Central, a plus).
- Office environment; must be able to perform frequent repetitive tasks, and be able to sit or stand at and operate a computer for up to 80% of the day.
- Cognitive skills such as thinking, reasoning, understanding, learning and remembering are required 100 % of the day.
- Travel to Orbus sites when required
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- High degree of attention to details
- High energy level to learn new skills and be proactive in applying them
- Ability to establish credibility and be decisive and able to recognize and support the organization's preferences and priorities
- Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing
