Job Summary:

The Senior Demand Planner will distill various sources of data to identify patterns and trends to predict future product demands. This position works in the supply chain department to support decision-making related to sales strategy and overall supply chain performance. The key objectives of this role are to perform demand planning analytics, develop regular product forecasts, balance supply and demand, and monitor inventory levels.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Utilizes existing tools and forecast models to optimize inventory levels based on the latest sales trends and demand patterns
• Leads and participates in weekly meetings with executives, marketing, and sales teams, coming to a consensus on updated demand forecasts with risk and opportunity
• Proposes and implements solutions to improve forecast accuracy as well as SKU productivity
• Successfully communicates forecasts and inventory estimations to management
• Addresses demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner
• Monitors and reports on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies
• Conducts monthly maintenance of demand forecasts, inventory flows, and purchasing projections
• Responsible for tracking and monitoring KPIs
• They might lead the development and implementation of advanced forecasting models and techniques.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
• Self-driven and highly motivated with strong attention to accuracy and details
• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work effectively within a team and build positive relationships cross-functionally
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (sumifs, vlookups, ifs, pivot tables, etc.)

Education and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in demand, merchandise, or inventory planning required
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
