We are looking for a Data Science professional to drive our analytical revolution in the Talent Acquisition (TA) space. You get the opportunity to work on a ground up rebuild of our analytical capabilities, from data ingress, to complex business transformations to end user reporting and beyond. In this role, you will invent and build on behalf of candidates, experiment and test new ideas, evangelize successes, and drive consistency.
The Sr. Data Scientist will work closely with other scientists and engineers to design and run experiments, research new algorithms, and find new ways to optimize Amazon recruiting technology's orchestration system. This role will partner with technology and product leaders to solve business and technology problems using scientific approaches to build new services that surprise and delight our customers. A Data Scientist at Amazon applies scientific principles to support significant invention, develops software code and are deeply involved in bringing their algorithms to production. They also work on cross-disciplinary efforts with other scientists within Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
The key strategic objectives for this role include:
- optimizing the existing statistical inference behind the orchestration logic (e.g., seasonality and trend-adjusted baseline data);
- cluster, and benchmark cycle time and conversion (pass rate)
- derive full entitlement, and recommending priorities (e.g., low hanging fruit)
- research input variables and timing.
A day in the life
This role will participate in the organization's weekly and monthly business reviews (hereon abbreviated as WBR and MBR), also planning cycle. He/she will update entitlement forecast quarterly, and use WBR to track key metrics and MBR to update stakeholders with narrative-based program status and the next milestones. This role will be supported with BIE and engineers with both analysis and maintaining code package in production.
