Salesforce Inc. seeks Senior Data Scientist ML Engineer in Seattle, WA:

Job Duties : Work with analysts, engineers, designers, executives, product managers, marketers, customer success, and sales team members across all Cloud businesses to build ML-driven decision-making data products that enable partners to affect the bottom line and solve critical business problems. Work closely with a versatile team of machine learning professionals on a wide range of problems including forecasting important business metrics such as sales and capacity, churn, and propensity modeling to retain and grow our customer base, clustering and classification using both structured and unstructured data, and more. Help build high-visibility data products and decision-making tools for Salesforce’s leaders. Own the charge on taking our core products to the next level in terms of engineering maturity and architecture. Refine and develop new data science products, workflows, tools, and automation. Build tools to monitor data pipeline performance, data quality and models in production. Establish best practices with coding standards, workflows, tools, and product automation. Review and maintain existing toolset and codebase (pipelines, models, algorithms); continue to improve existing tools and build new ones. Scale the operations of the data science team by building automation and libraries. Peer review code and participate in architecture design and reviews. ˆ Above address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in the Seattle area: 744 N. 34th St. Seattle, WA 98103, 701 N. 34th St., Seattle, WA 98103, and 929 108th Ave, Bellevue, WA 98004. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in the Seattle area. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements : Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or two (2) years of experience in the job offered OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or five (5) years of experience in the job offered.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements : 2 years in each of the following: (1) Python; (2) SQL; (3) Object Oriented Programming; (4) Pandas; (5) Machine Learning; (6) Cloud computing technologies such as AWS; (7) pySpark; (8) Statistical Modeling; and (9) Distributed computing. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Education, experience, and criminal background checks will be conducted. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $174,117 to $208,800.
