What you’ll be doing.

Job Summary:

  • Moderate to severe complexity first and third party claims to include premises liability, products liability, property, aviation, builder’s risk, and marine exposures
  • Completes via denial or payment of all claim types and all account types with limited involvement of Claims Leadership
  • Completes Appeals to all claim types and account types
  • Documents claim file with findings of claim settlement
  • Escalates any claims to claims leadership with any mention of legal or department of insurance threats
  • Maintains rapport and open communications with clients
  • Escalates and prepares any carriers over limits
  • Reviews medical records for claims adjudication purposes
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of multi-line claims handling at an insurer or TPA
  • Familiarity with premises and products liability claims and injury evaluation. Familiarity with first party
  • Claims handling/evaluation preferably to include construction all risks and transit/marine claims
  • Prior experience handling moderate to high severity or complex claims
  • Prior experience handling multi line claims
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, investigation, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Claims data and adjudication background
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact positively with clients, providers, and employees. Must be able to represent the organization in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Computer skills necessary to work effectively: Windows Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a production oriented environment.
  • Must be able to problem solve with limited involvement from Claims Leadership

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical, professional education, or work experience
  • Must have FL State Adjuster’s License
  • Must secure and maintain a multi-state adjuster license

Where you’ll be doing it.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Pembroke Pines, FL office. As a hybrid role, you will be working onsite 2-3 days a week and working from home 2-3 days a week.

When you’ll be doing it.

While there is some flexibility in the hours, this position will be Monday-Friday during regular business hours (approximately 8:00am-5:00pm). Occasional overtime may be required according to business need.
