Ballet Instructor

Movement Dance Studio located in Danbury, CT is seeking a dedicated Ballet Instructor to join our team and teach students of all ages and skill levels. As a Ballet Instructor, you will have the opportunity to convey your knowledge, foster creativity, and instill a love for dance in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging ballet classes that cater to students of varying ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced levels
• Teach fundamental ballet techniques
• Choreograph and guide students through rehearsals, ensuring they develop proficiency in executing choreography with precision and expression
• Provide constructive feedback and individualized instruction to help students improve their technique, artistry, and performance skills
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where students feel encouraged to explore their potential, express themselves artistically, and develop self-confidence.
• Maintain a safe and organized studio space, adhering to best practices in dance instruction and ensuring the well-being of students at all times.

Qualifications:

• Extensive training and experience in ballet, with a strong foundation in classical technique
• Previous teaching experience in a classroom setting
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds and create a supportive learning environment
• Professionalism and reliability, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively with students and colleagues.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 per week
