Overview
TRC is currently looking for a Senior Civil 3D Designer. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic to work with engineers, hydrogeologists, project managers, and other technical staff in the preparation of drawings, designs and figures associated with technical documents. Organization, communication, and design skills will be essential to efficiently produce quality outputs, while meeting budget and schedules on multiple concurrent projects
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include providing 3D and 2D CAD and design support on a wide variety of environmental permitting, design and construction projects. Projects include a variety of renewable energy, solid waste containment facilities, stormwater management, site remediation, and geotechnical engineering projects. The Senior Civil 3D Designer will be fluent in various software packages so as to develop civil drawings for all phases of the engineering design.

- The Senior CAD Designer will analyze sketches, notes, survey data and other input material to determine the best approach to prepare drawings and operate a CAD workstation with proficiency.

- Have a thorough understanding of 3D grading design principles and concepts and be able to effectively communicate these skills to others.
- Responsibilities will include mentoring CAD users, designers and engineers on the principles of 3D design, grading and site design in Civil 3D.
- Maintain a working knowledge of internal and external CAD standards and the drawing database.
- Revise or prepare drawings with neatness and a minimum of errors.
- Perform tasks such as digitizing, copying and scanning of drawings, prints and maps.
- Maintain accurate drawing records by entering and maintaining drawing database information.
- Self-check all work and check the work of others as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
