Knoxville based Wine & Spirits Wholesaler is seeking to add an aggressive Wine/Spirits Sales Representative for the Sevierville/Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, Tennessee area. Sales are business to business oriented and occur in customer businesses outside the office. Results will rely heavily on candidate’s ability to quickly build relationships and dedication to servicing accounts. Compensation will be based on combination of commission and performance-based bonuses. A competitive nature will serve candidates well. Preference given to candidates that live locally in the Sevierville/Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, Tennessee area.
Minimum Job Requirements
· Hunger to sell and capacity to create professional presentations
· Good personal organization skills
· Availability to work outside 8-5 schedule, as many accounts will be accessible best in early evening hours and occasional weekend events
· Be self-motivated/disciplined, goal oriented, timely, and have the ability to prioritize
· Be able connect well with large range of buyer types
· Professional written, oral, and electronic communication skills
· Able to use basic Microsoft products and order entry software.
· Must possess a reliable car, valid TN driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a good driving record
· Have ability to lift 50 pounds from the ground and above 60 inches
· Be able to taste and smell wine and spirits
· Team player attitude and actions
· Must be eligible for a TN Wholesaler’s Representative License
· Experience in restaurants and hotels preferred
Responsibility Overview
· Provide excellent service to our customers in defined territory.
· Open accounts with new customers.
· Call on accounts with regularity stated on weekly route sheet.
· Present customers with current pricing and deals, including pre-sells, close-outs and monthly specials.
· Accessible to all customers and managers by mobile phone during normal and extended business hours.
· Communicate any customer problems or complaints to managers.
· Identify and fill voids in distribution in all assigned accounts.
· Strive for additional shelf facings of all brands, and better locations for all floor displays.
· Use creativity for merchandizing and P.O.S.
· Place accurate orders.
