Soliant Health, a trusted healthcare staffing company, is seeking a talented and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join a reputable school district in Clarksville, Tennessee. We are currently hiring for a full-time, onsite position for the upcoming school year. Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in conducting assessments and screenings to evaluate students' speech and language abilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans and interventions under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Provide direct therapy services to students with communication disorders, focusing on areas such as articulation, language, fluency, and social communication
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and facilitate effective communication strategies
- Assist in monitoring and documenting students' progress, maintaining accurate records, and preparing reports as required
- Participate in team meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, to contribute insights and recommendations
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Valid Tennessee state license or ability to obtain one prior to the start of employment
- Previous experience as an SLPA in a school setting is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of various therapy techniques and strategies for working with students with communication disorders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
- Genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential
