Description:

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Public Safety, the Part-Time Bus Driver is responsible for shuttle service for Hofstra University patrons. The shuttle will transport all members of the Hofstra Community along a designated route. Bus Drivers are required to wear the proscribed uniform while on duty. Must be available for overtime as needed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Transports Hofstra students, visitors, and other members of the campus community along designated route.
• Responsible for safely transporting people to and from their destinations.
• Maintains a clean bus and conducts pre trip inspections to ensure the safety of the vehicle and passengers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Hours: Assigned shifts are selected by seniority as per the collective bargaining agreement. Newly hired Part-Time Bus Drivers will be required to work three eight (8) hours shifts per week. Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience.
• Possess Commercial CDL Class B license, with air brakes, passenger endorsement (no restrictions) and no violations.
• Possess strong communication skills.
• Must be a service oriented individual capable of interacting with a diverse student body, visitors, and other members of the campus community.

Salary/Salary Range:

$24.08 - $31.63 per hour
