Position is located in Knoxville, TN

 The University of Tennessee's Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, nontenure-track Instructor/Assistant Professor Speech-Language Pathology, with an expected start date of January 2, 2024. Rank and salary will be based on prior experience.  Primary responsibilities include providing (1) Clinical education/supervision to graduate students, (2) Direct evidence based diagnostic and treatment services, (3) Service to the department, university, and professional communities, and (4) Scholarship activities such as research, presentations, publications.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) and eligibility for TN state licensure
  • Minimum degree at the Master's level (M.A./M.s.) in SLP
  • Minimum of three years professional experience in speech-language pathology, specializing in pediatric patent care with specific expertise in feeding/swallowing.
  • Desire to work in a dynamic and collegial academic enviornment. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with diagnosis and treatment in the areas of pediatric (birth - school age) speech-language disorders and deficits which may include speech sound disorders and Alternative/Argumentative Communication.

The College of Health Professions at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center invites applications for a 12-month, non-tenure-track SLP clinical faculty position at the rank of Instructor/Assistant Professor in the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology (http://www.uthsc.edu/asp/).
