Choice Hotels, one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors, has an exciting new opportunity as our Specialty Sales Representative – Transportation to join our Global Sales Organization team. In this pivotal role the Specialty Sales Representative – Transportation will work closely with the segment team to increase business from Transportation accounts, with special emphasis on CLC Lodging, representing ~$300M in annual revenue. This position will be responsible for selling all Choice Hotel brands. Duties include consulting and negotiating with clients and franchisees to close contracts that generate revenue for Choice and its franchisees, troubleshooting and resolution of a variety of issues including rate loading/access and service issues. Responsibilities also include maintenance/documentation of detailed sales activity logs in the SalesForce CRM system.
- Works with transportation segment leadership to increase penetration of current accounts with main emphasis on CLC Lodging.
- Greatly broadens and strengthens key segment account relationships and administers associated programs/initiatives – become clients’ most trusted “go-to” chain contact.
- Maintains a close eye on Choice participation and competitiveness with accounts.
- Maintains strong understanding of segment nuances to effectively serve customers and provide guidance to franchisees.
- Works with segment leadership to oversee special account and segment projects designed to increase room-nights and revenue for segment and key accounts. Examples include quarterly CLC Lodging Generic RFP, CLC Power Programs, ELA Participation.
- Maintains strong grasp of customers’ purchasing processes and key success criteria and develops offerings/solutions to meet these needs.
- Develops and implements programs, promotions, and/or training to increase awareness and knowledge about Choice
- Creates and delivers strong customer presentations to influence Choice adoption and retention
- Appropriately delegates and channels customer service issues to the relevant teams within Choice while ensuring issues are resolved in a satisfactory manner.
- Work closely with department peers, support staff & management to manage and improve processes for optimal service delivery to customer opportunities
- BA/BS degree required
- Enthusiastic, outgoing, friendly personality required with a strong spirit to serve.
- Segment experience preferred
- Experience with SalesForce CRM, CVENT Transient, and MS Office Suite strongly preferred.
- 3-5 years successful outside B2B sales experience and/or industry related experience

- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
