What you'll do
The Specialist Logistics Planning is responsible for planning a seamless logistics supply for Scout Motors production and its continuous improvement. The specialist will be collaborating in the cost-optimal choice of suppliers and establishment of the supply chain and will report to the Manager Logistics Planning.

- Developing, designing and implementing of planning concepts and projects for the Inbound and Outbound Logistics
- Planning necessary processes, transportation, infrastructure, packaging, scheduling and equipment to ensure a cost optimal and reliable supply chain
- Active contribution in the forward sourcing and global sourcing process e.g. by preparation of logistic specifications, analyzing offers and creating comparative analyses in order to select cost-optimal and reliable suppliers
- Early identification of potential risks in the supply chain and active development and cross-departmental alignment of countermeasures
- Establishing an ongoing, constructive and cooperative communication with the suppliers
- Contribution in the development and implementation of necessary IT systems and collaborating in the IT integration of all relevant suppliers
- Calculating, tracking and continuous improvement of ancillary procurement costs in close collaboration with involved departments
- Coordination of related departments and operators regarding the integration of proposals for logistic product requirements and identification of optimization measures
- Assumption of special tasks corresponding to the skills and duties of the job holder
- This Role is carried out responsibly in factual cooperative collaboration with supervisors, employees, involved and affected departments - in compliance with existing guidelines, standards and regulations

- 3+ years of professional experience in automotive production and Logistics Planning (e.g, inbound/outbound planning, logistic specifications development, offer analysis, JIT/JIS)
- Experience in automotive logistics supplier management desirable
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or related fields
- Strong technical skills in networking, hardware and software systems as well as process design
- Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills
- Ability to independently work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. The role will be based out of a Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina. Applicants should expect that the role may require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in personand be able to travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
Pay TransparencyThis is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. The salary range listed represents the maximum and minimum starting base pay for this position as of the time of posting. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range: $90,000 - $100,000
