Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides OEM strategic planning guidance and project reporting.
- Reviews and updates project timelines for migration readiness and implementation activities including co-habitation planning with building development and other sub work packages.
- Presents to OEM in weekly or bi-weekly meetings, the tracking of project status.
- Ensures that IT system interfaces are considered in design, development, testing and implementation activities.
- Participates in logistics process planning, investment planning, and analysis on space requirements.
- Provides OEM layout planning for the logistics spaces, warehouse, connected logistics elements and future plant expansion areas.
- Prepares for OEM feasibility studies for structures, fixtures, new process and evaluations based on cost, reliability, and quality requirements by finding solutions for process related concerns.
- Provides OEM process analysis to evaluate new process integration into current series processes.
- Provides OEM financial analysis of contracts with logistics services vendor and interacts with them on structure and layout issues.
- Utilizes logistics planning platform (LPP) for analysis using MTM or time study data. Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
- Evaluates and escalates to OEM design or process concept issues that do not support plant requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bentley MicroStation and ProjectWise
- MS Excel
- SharePoint
- LOP Standard (List of Open Points)
- M-gams (gAMS evaluation sheet) & UA (Untersuchungsauftrag): Investigative evaluation for changes, including changes to volume.
- Value Stream Mapping
- OEM concept templates
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:
- Location: Spartanburg, SC
- Type: Full time, 25% remote, weekend, shift, and holidays as needed
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: October 2026
