Job Description
- Participates in the equipment procurement process by developing the Request for Quote (RFQ) document, price sheet and evaluating the bids from suppliers and finally technically recommending a supplier.
- Coordinates the development of equipment functional risk analyses with countermeasures to ensure equipment function and reliability. (FMEA)
- Manage the project LOP (List of Open Points) to ensure all standards and stakeholder requirements are met.
- Coordinates design review planning, prototype testing, installation planning, start-up, and acceptance processes, and provides training for new installations.
- Participates in the process of stakeholder management throughout the entire project time frame.
- Participates in logistics process planning, investment planning, and analysis on space requirements.
- Performs layout planning for the logistics space and connected logistics elements.
- Performs process analysis to evaluate new process integration into current series processes.
- Utilizes logistics planning platform (LPP) for analysis using MTM or time study data. Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
- Monitors the change management process to include the verification that all supporting data has been updated.
- Evaluates and escalates design or process concept issues that do not support plant requirements.
- Detailing and final specification of seat indexers for lineside delivery of Front Left, Front Right and second row seats.
- Detailing and final specification of Hall 50 freight elevator for lineside delivery in Band 21 mezzanine.
- Participation in project teams and workshops including reporting of the project status.
- Communication to OEM process partners including, but not limited to TX-1 Logistics, TX-2 Body in White, TX-8 Technical and Process planning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Manufacturing, Process, Mechanical Engineering or related.
- min. of 3 years of experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Should have IT skills including MS Office applications and ProjectWise/AutoCAD.

- M-gams (gAMS evaluation sheet) & UA (Untersuchungsauftrag): Investigative evaluation for changes, including changes to volume

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:
- Location: Spartanburg, SC
- Type: Full time, 25% remote, weekend, shift, and holidays as needed
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: October 2026
