As a Logistics Structure Materials Flow Planning I, you will perform planning of Logistics Structures in the plant and the warehouses. This is a long-term contract with potential for hire by the client.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain planning, OR
  • Equivalent of 4+ years of experience in a related area in a manufacturing environment
  • 1+ year(s) of related experience in 2 of the following areas: material control, warehouse/plant operations, or warehouse/plant layout
  • 1+ year(s) of supervisory/project leadership
  • Fluent in English, and preferably German
  • MTM-1; MTM-UAS Standard Data and related certifications, preferred
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, VISO preferred
  • Presentational skills
  • Efficient communication and interpersonal skills, ability to foster networks and partnerships, and good working knowledge of information and computer technologies
  • Ability to lead strategic planning, change processes, results-based management and reporting
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to lead formulation, oversight of implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development projects
  • Experience within time study methods as REFA< MTM, or the company’s standard data (preferred)
  • Work experience within LPP (Logistics Planning Platform preferred)
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage strategic planning and reporting
  • Perform layout planning for the warehouse, connected logistics elements, and future plant expansion
  • Perform Logistics Process Planning, Long Term Investment Planning (LIP), and analysis on space requirements for LUP (Long Term Enterprise Planning)
  • Work independently in leading logistics projects
  • Investigate, improve, and stabilize overall logistics processes in support of company targets
  • Calculate Days of Supply simulations for Logistics Structure Requirements and recommend changes based upon supplier locations
  • Verify and analyze structural data including movement of trailers and product
  • Analyze cost of storing inventory
  • Drive process improvements for optimized warehouse strategy
  • Develop methods/methodologies to support the planning process
  • Write decision papers to support process of structural investment in logistics
  • Work with Facilities & Energy for designing layout (2D) and structure (3D) of logistics areas
  • Perform financial analysis of contracts with logistics service vendors and interact with them on Structure and layout issues
  • Support and update logistics planning tool (LPP) doing time analyses using MTM or time study data
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
