Essential duties will include:
Overseeing and managing critical initiatives related to the implementation of a new County-wide ERP system (JDE Enterprise 1) and other departmental priorities within the finance and accounting realm.
Overseeing and coordinating the department's transition to JDE Enterprise 1, including customization, process improvement, new process implementation, report creation, and training.
Collaborating with staff from other departments, vendors, consultants, taxing districts, and entities to ensure coordinated accounting systems and seamless transition and implementation processes.
Providing expertise in accounting and cash management functionalities, acting as a liaison between finance and IT teams, particularly during implementation of the new ERP system.
Gaining proficiency in all areas of cash management and accounting within the Treasurer's Office. Evaluating and enhancing internal controls to optimize resources and streamline workflows. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implements best practices.
Providing oversight for debt management software, ensuring accurate and timely tracking of financial obligations. Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to manage debt effectively and optimize financial resources.
Planning, conducting and presenting at project related meetings, potentially including public meetings.

Unrepresented Salary Range 10Hiring rate depends on qualifications. This position receives annual pay increases to the next step in the associatedsalary range (apx. 3.8%) subject to satisfactory performance, in addition to any approved Cost of Living Adjustments (COLA). Requires a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field AND 5 years of progressively responsible experience involving project management, accounting, business and/or finance, including 2 years of lead, supervisory or management experience.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, cash management, and internal controls required.
Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant license preferred.
Experience in successful project management, with a focus on ERP system implementation, preferred.Employment Type: Full-Time
