Job description

Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading Supply Chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, Supply Chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

Within Azure Hardware Systems & Infrastructure, the Spares and Warranty team is responsible for ensuring that the right spare parts, are in the right place, at the right time in support of delivering global capacity requirements.
We are looking for Spares Supply ChainNew Product Introduction Program Manager
to manage the introduction of new spare parts to support our cloud infrastructure direct warranty business model.

Responsibilities

Leveraging an understanding of customer and business roadmaps, feedback, and analytics, participates / leads initiatives addressing datacenter pain points and actions needed to ensure world-class spares availability and service.

  • Ensure spares availability for New Products at NPI dock.
  • Drive EG guidance and education of NPI sparing timelines, requirements, and dependencies.
  • Drive requirements discussions with newly engaged engineering teams on what is needed for Spares NPI deployments.
  • Work closely with engineering teams as a sign-off member in Platform Plan Approval meetings- ensuring that spares requirements are understood before a new deployment is approved.
  • Be an active member in New Product readiness discussions, and represent Spares Supply Chain requirements.
  • Build working relationships across multiple disciplines and teams, driving influence across the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement of deployment processes, including assessment &; improvement of program delivery capabilities, analysis &; insights of business performance metrics, and manage voice-of-the-customer feedback loops.
  • Implement measurement frameworks to enable data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing, Finance, Data Center Operations, Procurement &; Planning, effectively building relationships with a wide range of influencers and cultivating strategic relationships globally.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
