Spanish Translator

Responsibilities:

• Translate written documents, articles, web content, and other materials from Spanish to English with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ensure that the tone, style, and meaning of the original text are preserved in the translation.
• Edit and proofread translated texts to ensure linguistic accuracy, consistency, and readability.
• Collaborate with team members and other translators to maintain quality standards and meet project deadlines.
• Research unfamiliar terms or concepts to ensure accurate translation.
• Communicate effectively with project managers and clients to clarify requirements and address any concerns.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Spanish and English, with native or near-native fluency in both languages.
• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a translator, with a portfolio demonstrating previous translation work.
• Strong knowledge of grammar, syntax, and vocabulary in both Spanish and English.
• Familiarity with translation software and tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Cultural sensitivity and awareness to accurately convey cultural nuances in translations.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
