The Spa Massage Therapy Lead is an active member of the leadership group and primarily assists with management in training motivating and coaching other Associates; serves as a role model. This role also performs maintenance of treatment and attends to various guest areas as needed. This position has a responsibility to coach and lead the Massage team and to guide the team when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or the equivalent.
- Must have at least two years of related work experience.
- Must be knowledgeable in massage and body treatments as appropriate for licensing and hold an active license for Therapeutic Massage in the respective State of practice.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Have the ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Display friendliness and helpfulness at all times to Members Guests Visitors Business Partners and fellow Employee Partners.
- Adhere to all Property and Department policies and procedures.
- Observe all safety and security procedures. Use equipment and material properly. Report potentially unsafe conditions.
- Train new employees on established protocols for Massage services.
- Provide massage and body treatments to guests
- Maintain current licensure in service area by taking continuing education if needed and renewing license before expiration date.
- Assist management by communicating inventory needs and supplies.
- Assist management in maintaining the appearance of treatment and guest areas.
- Develop a weekly checklist for staff’s stations and department needs to be given to Spa Operations manager to insure all staff needs are met.
- Notify management regarding maintenance of any Spa repair needs.
- Inspect work areas to ensure conformance to company and State Board standards of cleanliness and hygiene and report non-compliance with management.
- Communicate general property information
- If documentation or reprimanding is needed of the team communicates to The Spa Director and/ or Spa Operations Manager.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
