This position is hourly, non-exempt, non-supervisory, and reports to the Spa Services Manager. The Spa Desk Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while acting as a central guest contact person in the spa building. Responsible for booking, changing, and cancelling basic spa services, answering general questions, giving directions, posting charges for services and retail to guest accounts, issuing sports equipment such as tennis racquets, basketballs, golf clubs, etc., and connecting guests with wellness guides for booking appointments.
Responsibilities:
Guest Services: Books, changes, and cancels basic spa services. Posts charges for services and retail to guest accounts & assigns lockers. Greets and engages guests by offering general spa and Canyon Ranch information, directions and guidance to Wellness Guides on the appropriate department or staff member to best meet the guest’s needs.
Telephone operation: connect guests and staff with appropriate department to meet needs, answer general questions, and perform booking and cancellations of services by phone.
Administrative: Completes opening, mid and closing duties, shift checklist . Checks out and logs the guest use of sport and fitness equipment. Logs lost and found items. Informs Security of these items and coordinates pick up and drop off of items. Post charges for services and retail items to guest room accounts. Use of KYC program to request linens, lodge guest complaints, text guest regarding services or needs, and maintenance needs for Spa.
Schedule (Days & Hours worked):Variable, 20 hours/week
You will need to have a High School diploma, or equivalent.
You will also need to be CPR certified within 3 months of employment.
It's preferred that you have previous guest service and computer experience. You will need to be able to perform a variety of tasks while delivering exceptional guest service. You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will need to be able to perform a variety of responsibilities, including guest service, cleaning/maintaining Locker Room and multi-tasking. You will also need to possess the ability to work efficiently, effectively and professionally with a variety of people. You will need to be able to handle stressful /emergency situations. You will also need to be able to follow and maintain Canyon Ranch standards.
