Job Summary
Trane has an exciting opportunity to join our organization as the leader of our Light Commercial Unitary Leader for the Southeast Region. The position will be located in the Atlanta, GA sales office. In this role you will function as the Regional Sales Leader for business sold and fulfilled through the LCU-R sales program. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships and maximizing account penetration and customer retention with our light commercial unitary contractor customers. Sales includes all the processes and functions required for obtaining inside/outside sales and ensuring customer satisfaction.
In addition, this position is responsible for providing leadership for all activities of the Equipment fulfillment team leader and inside sales support team from the time the business receives the PO (purchase order) for an equipment sale through PO closure. Processes within that oversight include order management, parts inventory and shipment, inside sales, invoicing and collections, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:

  • Plan, lead and monitor the activities of a sales team at multiple locations to achieve established sales targets. Provide the tools, environment, and opportunity for associates to develop, resulting in an empowered and productive sales team.
  • Support key account colleagues in the management of key client relationships and in the negotiation of contracts with key customers.
  • Increase market share through utilization of effective sales management process.
  • Prevent and resolve any sales channel conflicts.
  • Establish marketplace strategy.
  • Overall responsibility for new customer acquisition, price management, maximizing account penetration, market penetration, customer retention, hiring and on-boarding of new sales associates, continued assessment of skills and administering necessary training, setting quotas, accurate sales forecasting and consistent use of Trane sales tools and systems.
  • Responsible for achieving annual objectives regarding profit, volume, margins, business mix, and share.
  • Assemble high performance teams and interact with team members with differing business development requirements, customer focus, experience, sales cycles, and product portfolios.
  • Manage ongoing performance by monitoring and coaching Account Managers' effectiveness and efficiency in relation to project attainments, customer service, customer relationship development, and business profitability.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and sales team as needed.
  • Use Operational Excellence Principles in leading and managing the team in problem solving and attaining goals set for the LCU-R business.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Overall knowledge of HVAC distribution and dealer sales, service, installation and business practices is required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of related experience in a leadership role.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to:
    • DUI in the previous 5 years;
    • Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

Total Compensation Range: $135,000 - $240,000 per year and includes a local incentive plan. This base pay range is based on US National Averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, or geographic location where the work is performed.
