Sous Chef - Inn

We're seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join our client's dynamic kitchen team. If you're passionate about food and enjoy creating innovative dishes with fresh, local ingredients, this could be the perfect role for you.

As Sous Chef, you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking meals to the highest standards of quality and taste. You'll work closely with the Executive Chef, ensuring culinary excellence in every dish served.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen activities and ensure all kitchen operations comply with health and safety regulations.
• Prepare high-quality dishes in line with the restaurant's standards.
• Contribute to menu development and seasonal changes.
• Train junior kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, plating methods, and health and safety protocols.
• Oversee inventory and manage kitchen stock levels, reducing waste where possible.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Excellent knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Proven ability to manage a diverse team and work well under pressure.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
