Responsibilities of the Solutions Architect:
- Create architectural designs and documentation, including system diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation plans.
- Develop and design end-to-end solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership in solution development, outlining best practices, architectural guidelines, and frameworks.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze technical feasibility, and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Evaluate components and services, recommending integration strategies and overseeing their implementation within the solution architecture.
- Identify potential risks and challenges within proposed solutions, providing mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Build prototypes or proof of concepts to validate proposed solutions, conducting thorough testing to ensure functionality and performance.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance existing architectures and processes.
- Support new rollouts, transformations, and migrations, especially Microservice Transformations, Introduction of Messaging Systems, and Data Migrations.
- Lead Technical Solutions meetings and workshops
Requirements of the Solutions Architect:
- Proficiency with an Agile Architectural Framework(s) – Able to own and manage a framework to organize and communicate current and future architectural goals.
- Ability to create a representation of the system to support the engineering teams and get everyone on the same page.
- Experience in producing recommendations through thoughtful qualitative and quantitative evaluation of data at the business and technical levels.
- Manages and communicates own workloads through defined frameworks
- Experience in designing and building systems and processes to increase quality and flow
- Track record of designing a foundation for engineers to seamlessly work within and extend.
- Experience working alongside Data Architects.
- Experience in GCP Cloud Architecture (Certification and/or Azure a plus)
