Solution Architect-Model Based Systems Engineer (DoD Secret Clearance Required)

We are searching for a Solution Architect (MBSE) - to support our client at the Washington Navy Yard. This is a hybrid position requiring at least 50% of pay period hours in the office (3 days one week/2 days one week).

The Role: As an onsite Solution Architect (MBSE), you will focus on IT Enterprise Alignment to ensure that the customers’ IT infrastructure and systems are aligned with the digital model-based engineering needs of the organization. You will work closely within the DoD organization information technology managers to close identified customer gaps in IT infrastructure and develop IT strategies to bridge those gaps.

Responsibilities:

· Work closely with engineering teams to understand their digital model-based engineering needs and identify opportunities to improve IT support.

· Develop and implement strategies to align the organization's IT infrastructure and systems with digital model-based engineering needs, including the selection and implementation of new tools and technologies.

· Partner with IT operations teams to ensure that systems and infrastructure to support digital model-based engineering requirements.

· Collaborate with vendors and consultants to evaluate new tools and technologies that could improve digital model-based engineering operations.

· Act as a liaison between engineering teams and the IT department to ensure that IT support is responsive to the needs of the organization.

· Monitor and report on the effectiveness of IT support for digital model-based engineering operations and make recommendations for improvement as needed.

· Be versed in Model Based Engineering concepts and a high-level functional understanding of the supporting tools sets

· Analyze organizational programs and provide a solution structure to alleviate existing IT service gaps vs the required program services

· Perform cost analysis of technical specifications identified in program gap analysis with alternatives

· Organize, lead and document discussions with customers and stake holders.

Required Qualifications:

· An active DoD Secret Security Clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance

· This is a Hybrid Role, 50% of pay period hours are required to be in the office (3 one week/2 one week) at the Washington Navy Yard with travel to field sites as needed.

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

· At least 6 years of experience in IT management or IT operations with a focus on supporting engineering or manufacturing operations.

. At least 2-3 years of experience with Model Based Systems Engineering

· Strong understanding of digital model-based engineering principles and tools.

· Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives.

· Travel to field sites as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
