The Solid Waste Department seeks a Customer Service Representative skilled in problem solving, record keeping, and basic computer knowledge.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of Customer Service experience
- Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License

- Maintains positive customer relations by providing prompt, courteous and accurate service to the public with SWD questions, complaints and requests for services and information.
- Maintains account and financial records, collects payments, accounts for revenue, processes documents, compiles data and generates reports; maintains administrative records and reporting systems; prepares work orders and provides radio dispatch services for work crews; performs duties within scope of authority and training and in compliance with City policies; duties may vary according to job assignment.
- Supports the relationship between the City of Waco and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with citizens, visitors and City staff; maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and City information.
- Purchasing and P-card transactions.
- Assisting with budget preparations.
- Manages billing and invoicing accounts, reviews and verifies data and maintains record systems; maintains administrative records and reporting systems.
