Description:District Sales Leader (DSL)

Summit Energy is seeking a motivated District Sales Leader (DSL) to Deliver WOW! experiences to customers by adhering to Summit Energy’s core values, setting correct expectations and empowering as many people as possible with renewable energy within their office boundaries.


Pay: $250,000 + annually (This is a contract (1099) position)

Location(s): Hartford, CT (This is an in person position)


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Help establish and communicate correct expectations for sales representatives and their responsibility to communicate the same to team members, customers and others.
  • Set accurate, truthful and appropriate expectations is the foundational responsibility for successful sales, happy reps and long-term personal and company growth
  • Train sales reps thoroughly in our Mission, Vision, and Values, as well as systems, skills, methods, etc. that allow for success. This training will include (but is not limited to):
    • Provide an understanding and regular review of our Mission, Vision, and Values, along with their fundamental nature of Summit.
    • Canvassing skills, methods and tips.
    • Presenting and closing skills.
    • Obtaining referrals.
    • Leveraging reviews - getting them and using them.
  • Provide a direct line of support to sales reps with regional competence, Summit specific knowledge and solar (and other product and services) expertise.
  • Ensure sales reps are remaining engaged with customers, project progression and ongoing support throughout the entirety of the Summit experience.
  • Facilitate the advancement of stalled projects. This may include such actions as:
    • Notifying sales reps of incomplete project stages that need rep or customer involvement or responsibility.
    • Reactivating canceled projects
    • Helping sales reps move projects to payment milestones
  • Arrange and/or conduct weekly sales correlations to facilitate the communication of culture, systems, infrastructure and accountability for expectations and assignments.
  • Recruit new sales reps and provide all necessary support to move new sales reps into meeting and exceeding expectations. Recruiting (combined with training and support) should meet the minimum level of “new” empowered customers.
  • Be the Lead Climber: lead with the example of attitude, desire, performance and capability. The DSL should set the standard for work ethic and discipline, embodiment of our Values and commitment to our Mission. The DSL should understand that the level of performance their team members reach is exactly correlated to their level of performance.

Qualifications:

  • Solar experience required (preferably in residential settings)
  • Proven track record of managing and building sales teams
  • History of consistent sales exceeding minimum standards.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, multi-tasking, organizational skills
  • Proficient with Google Suite
