Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Solar Consultant to join our team. As a Solar Consultant, you will be responsible for promoting and selling solar energy systems to residential and commercial customers. This role requires technical sales expertise, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to effectively communicate the benefits of solar energy solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct consultations with potential customers to assess their energy needs and provide tailored solar energy solutions
- Educate customers on the benefits of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental impact, and available incentives
- Generate leads through various channels such as networking events, warm leads (no cold calling), referrals and other means
- Conduct site visits to evaluate the feasibility of installing solar panels
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to potential customers
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with customers
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project implementation and customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in energy sales is a plus but not required
- Strong negotiation skills to close deals and achieve sales targets
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with customers
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in an outside sales environment
- Familiarity with solar energy systems and industry trends is desirable
Location: Stockton, Merced, Modesto, Fresno, and surrounding areas
Compensation package:
- Commission pay (1099)
Schedule:
- Weekends as needed
