We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Solar Consultant to join our team. As a Solar Consultant, you will play a crucial role in promoting and providing solar energy solutions to residential and commercial customers. You will be responsible for educating customers on the benefits of solar energy, assessing their energy needs, and providing customized solar solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers and target markets
- Generate leads through various channels such as our unique, exclusive retail program, referrals, and networking
- Educate customers on the benefits of solar energy and explain the financial incentives available
- Assess customers' energy needs and provide customized solar solutions
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential customers
- Negotiate contracts and close projects
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project implementation
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in solar technology
Skills:
- Proven experience in solar sales or a similar role
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Technical knowledge of solar energy systems and their installation
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical customers
- Leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Experience in door-to-door or retail environment is a plus
- Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM software is preferred
