Tapestry Solutions Boeing Global Services BGS is seeking a Software Application Tester Full Time in our San Luis Obispo, CA, San Diego, CA, or Maryland Heights, MO, location. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow with a dynamic team of technical professionals. This role is ideal for a STEM higher education graduate looking to put into practice their software development and testing skills.
As a full time Software Tester: Test Automation Specialization, you will perform independent verification & validation of requirements by creating, running, and evaluating automated and manual tests. You will document defects and confirm their resolution. You will build and expand upon automated testing frameworks.
Position Responsibilities:
Supports the development of software components and hardware-software integration by assisting in the creation and execution of automated & manual test cases to verify software performance and function and identify and document defects. Collects, inputs, and analyzes data for software metrics using established procedures. Uses software tools to troubleshoot problems. Builds and expands upon automated testing frameworks. Performs other duties as assigned.
This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at the listed location option. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 2 or more years software development & scripting experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Completed STEM Higher Education
- STEM background, technical writing
Typical Education/Experience:
Entry Level - 2 years related work experience, relevant military experience, or advanced degree preferred but not required.
Associate Level - 4 years related work experience, relevant military experience, or advanced degree preferred but not required.
