Job Summary
This a remote, entry level position. The primary function of the Benefit Specialist is to quality check substance abuse/mental health benefits to ensure an accurate quote is provided and provide the information to our clients. This will also consist of multitasking and maintaining a spreadsheet of all requests throughout the department.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Complete and return benefit requests to facilities within strict time frames
- Call insurance companies to obtain substance abuse/behavioral health benefit information for individuals seeking treatment
- Accurately fill out verification of benefit form with all requested information, save and send to clients
- Maintain spreadsheet of all verification requests received by the department
- Assign work and quality check the work of others
- Follow up on and research termed insurance policies
- Analyze trends/denials of various insurance policies

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Excellent customer service skills.
