Remote Benefits Verifications Specialist

Job Summary

This a remote, entry level position. The primary function of the Benefit Specialist is to quality check substance abuse/mental health benefits to ensure an accurate quote is provided and provide the information to our clients. This will also consist of multitasking and maintaining a spreadsheet of all requests throughout the department.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Complete and return benefit requests to facilities within strict time frames
• Call insurance companies to obtain substance abuse/behavioral health benefit information for individuals seeking treatment
• Accurately fill out verification of benefit form with all requested information, save and send to clients
• Maintain spreadsheet of all verification requests received by the department
• Assign work and quality check the work of others
• Follow up on and research termed insurance policies
• Analyze trends/denials of various insurance policies

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience using Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Works well under pressure
