- Work with Red Hat partners and cloud providers to create joint solutions based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform
- Test joint solutions with partners and cloud providers preparing drafts for documentation
- Provide technical support to enterprise customers customers by responding to incoming calls, chat, and web-based inquiries
- Partner closely with sales organization colleagues to assist their understanding of the company's joint offerings with cloud providers
- Contribute internally to the Red Hat knowledge management system, share best practices with team members, and commit to internal
- projects and initiatives
- Troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues and drive issue escalation with Red Hat, cloud providers, partners, and customer team
- 3+ years of experience working as a support or development engineer for a Platform-as-a-Service provider or hosting service
- 3+ years of experience working with Linux or Unix operating systems installation, configuration, upgrade, and maintenance and a good understanding of Linux command line tools
- Experience working with hosted applications or large scale application deployments
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes
- Experience with Open vSwitch, Red Hat Middleware, Apache Tomcat, web frameworks, and RESTful APIs
- Good understanding of Linux tools with an emphasis on cURL, kernel crash analysis, strace, Wireshark, and using Git
- Practical experience with cloud providers like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google, and Alibaba
- Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with customers, third-party vendors, and Red Hat’s associates
- Solid troubleshooting skills and passion for problem-solving and investigation
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and work under pressure
- Ability to work with minimal supervision with a globally-distributed team of engineers
- Excellent reading and writing skills in English; fluent English language skills are preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred
- Upstream involvement in open source projects, including patches submitted for upstream inclusion a plus
- Knowledge of technical support systems and tools a plus
- Development-level experience with programming languages like Go, AngularJS, Python, .NET, and C a plus
- Software development background, including experience writing patches and with scripting languages like Bash, Perl, or Python
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification a plus
