This position is responsible for 3 sites in NOVA, the primary being in Ashburn, VA, the second in Chantilly, VA the third in Leesburg, VA
Regular Schedule is M- F / 8:30am until 5pm
Job Summary:

This position is for a working supervisor that will supervise Maintenance Mechanics, the security team and porters. This leader is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing water heating equipment. They will also maintain heating, lighting, ventilating, air conditioning, power refrigeration, building electrical and controls, water treatment, and other mechanical and electrical equipment. This position reports to the General Manager.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supports the daily operation of all mechanical equipment in the physical plants and buildings
• Maintains and repairs building Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control Systems including pneumatics.
• Monitors operations and maintains refrigeration, air conditioning equipment, water heaters, heating, ventilating, pumps, valves, piping and filters, other mechanical and electrical equipment, changing light bulbs and ballasts
• Abilty to troubleshoot Building Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems with little or no supervision
• Performs and/or completes all tenant service requests accurately and with minimal tenant disruptions
• Manage Building Management System (BMS) / Energy Management System
• Maintains maintenance logs and records
• Performs preventive maintenance tasks
• Complies and supports building policies and procedures
• Leads/Actively participates in emergency response procedures technical and safety training programs
• Performs all work using the proper safety equipment and in a safe manner
• Supervises engineering team
• Oversees service and repair contractors throughout the buildings
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7-10 years of consecutive building engineer experience preferably in Commercial/Retail and/or mixed use
• Demonstrated knowledge of engineering and building systems
• History of trades education and training
• High-level experience and skills in operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, installing, and repairing HVAC and other mechanical equipment
• Basic technology skills necessary to manage work order applications on mobile phone and learn to operate Building Automation Systems
• High School diploma or equivalent, and must be able to communicate effectively in English
• Occasionally work overtime to perform necessary repairs or maintenance that are necessary to complete during off-hours
• Must meet the occupation requirements, such as lifting 50 lbs., walking distances, kneeling for 1 hour, and climbing ladders.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must possess a CFC Universal certification
