Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team at Oracle Industries. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside cross disciplinary experienced professionals on cutting-edge projects that contribute to the advancement of industry technologies. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience, mentorship, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a rapidly evolving and immensely impactful field.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, design, communications) to design, develop, and deploy software solutions for the Oracle Industries team.

  2. Create user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that are both engaging and functional.

  3. Assist in the implementation and testing of new features and functionalities within existing software systems.

  4. Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and reliability of software products.

  5. Research and evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into our software development process.

  6. Document code, processes, and technical specifications to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain project integrity.

  7. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address technical challenges.

To be considered for this Software Engineer internship, you must possess the Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs) below.

Please ensure that your application clearly indicates that you meet these OMQs , either on your resume and/or by uploading additional documents such as a transcript.

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree only in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business, or equivalent engineering/science major, completing your junior year IN SUMMER 2024 .

  • Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US.

  • Able to obtain work authorization in the US in 2024.

  • Are proficient (e.g., can complete coding projects without any assistance) in two or more of the following computer languages:

  • C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, SQL, NoSQL, PL/SQL, Go, or similar object oriented or functional programming languages.

  • Have proven experience (internships, projects, coursework) working on at least two of the following areas:

  • Linux Operating Systems

  • Web Services

  • Compute Platforms (such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Storm, Ganglia, Nagios, openTSDB, Elasticsearch or others)

  • Scrum & Agile Methodologies

  • Have academic coursework, completed projects, prior internship and/or research experience or equivalent in at least three of the following areas:

  • Algorithms, Machine Learning, Compilers, Computer Architecture, Data Mining, High Performance Computing, Distributed Systems, Data Structures, Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Object Oriented Design, Network Security, Big Data, Web/Mobile Technologies, Operating Systems, Database Systems, Cloud Computing, Parallel Programming, Compilers, High performance Computing.

  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms and services and an eagerness to deepen your expertise (optional).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Passion for IU/UX and strong understanding of design principles.

  • Solid understanding of software development fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.

  • Proficiency in at least one of the following programming language: Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript.

  • Familiarity with web development frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Vue.js) and RESTful APIs.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

US: Hiring Range: from $18.13 to $46.00 per hour; from $37,700 to $95,680 per annum.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Oracle US offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes the following:

  1. Medical, dental, and vision insurance, including expert medical opinion

  2. Short term disability and long term disability

  3. Life insurance and AD&D

  4. Supplemental life insurance (Employee/Spouse/Child)

  5. Health care and dependent care Flexible Spending Accounts

  6. Pre-tax commuter and parking benefits

  7. 401(k) Savings and Investment Plan with company match

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  9. 11 paid holidays

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.

  11. Paid parental leave

  15. Voluntary benefits including auto, homeowner and pet insurance
