In this role you’d be responsible for helping maintain the core platform that compensation admins use to build and operate sales compensation models in CaptivateIQ.

The Modeling team is responsible for the core platform that compensation admins use to build and maintain sales compensation models in CaptivateIQ.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, optimize, and maintain SmartGrid - CaptivateIQ's core calculation engine
- Work across full product stack to develop and improve product features
- Participate in the product development process from start to finish, from scoping projects to measuring their success and iterating based on feedback
- Maintain high engineering and security standards, and continuously improve our codebases and processes
- Work with engineers across the company to develop and iterate at scale
Requirements:
- 1-4 years experience in a Software Engineering role
- You have strong computer science fundamentals (data structures/algorithms)
- You have experience with frontend or backend development
- You exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills
- You demonstrate proficiency in one of the following: Python, Go, React
- You have experience with a relational database such as PostgreSQL
- You have a sharp attention to detail, and a user-centric focus
Nice to have:
- Proficiency with Go, Django, Apache Arrow, Apache Parquet
- MapReduce
- Graph Theory
- Language Parser, PEG Parser

CaptivateIQ takes a market-based approach to pay, and the base salary range for this job posting shows the minimum and maximum target starting base salary. The successful candidate’s starting base salary will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related skills, relevant experience, education, work location, market conditions, and other factors. This range may be modified in the future. Certain positions may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and other benefits.
