Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Provide technical guidance and support for the team regarding site standards and best practices.
- Researching new technologies and practices used in the industry, and recommending tools and technology to accomplish team goals, inclusive testing potential solutions
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
- Develops unit and functional test plans, carries out unit test plans, and aids in the use of functional test plans and the verification of test results.
- Assesses and develops new technologies as needed to improve and achieve better results.
- Works with team architects, engineers and developers in both troubleshooting and design capacity.
- Provides direction and assistance to other team members, expanding the team knowledge of software development methodologies.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
Required Computer and/or Technical Skills
- Experience with frameworks such as Foundation/Bootstrap, LESS/SASS and JSTL tag libraries.
- Proficient in developing HTML5 code, CSS3 and JavaScript
- Knowledgeable using Wordpress and other CMS tools
- Code versioning such as Azure DevOps repository
- Build tools using GULP or Webpack
- Advanced SASS development for efficiency is a plus.
- Experience in developing with React
- Figma
- Knowledge in mobile development, particularly cross-platform development via Xamarin is a plus.
- Experience with binding native Android/iOS libraries is a plus.
- Typescript experience is a plus
- 1 time a month travel onto client site in Montreal required.
Required Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Computer Science or IT related field from a four-year college or university.
- At least 5-7 years' experience, 2-3 years in OOP; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Compensation Range: $130,000 - $140,000
This compensation range is indicative of the role. Compensation offered is on the basis of evaluation during interview process, the candidates range and depth of experience, business and market financials and internal pay parity.
