Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director, the Social Media/Marketing will develop a robust social media and email marketing campaign that is engaging and ultimately increases organizational support. This position may work closely with non-profit organizations, community partners, media, and government agencies to promote food insecurity programs and initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
· Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns.
· Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote organization on various social media.
· Create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos and press releases on social media and traditional news outlets.
· Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability.
· Support marketing team at live and online events/photo/video content shoots.
· Perform social media marketing research.
· Respond to comments and DMs on social media platforms.
· Brainstorm and research ideas for original content.
· Create compelling graphics to share across social channels.
· Write social media captions that speak to target audience.
· Help create and edit short-form videos.
· Develop new strategies for increasing engagement.
· Ensure brand message is consistent.
Main facility hours are Mon – Fri 8:30-1:00. Position requires 10-15 hr/week. Ability to arrange flexible hours within that range. $10-$13/hr. Occasional off hours supporting special events and community activities.
