Position: Social Media Specialist

We are looking for a LEGO and board game enthusiast who enjoys conversing with our customers about their LEGO builds and the board games they played over the weekend. We are looking for an energetic team player who can jump in, develop, plan, and support the organization's overall goals.
As a Social Media Specialist, you will support the development and execution of the Social Media strategy, provide feedback, and assist with various marketing initiatives, including (but not limited to) creative, communications, and promotions based on data-driven insights.

Scope of Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain day-to-day activities on all Social Media channels, responding to posts, feedback, interactions, and questions from fans, customers, and partners.
- Create and publish high-quality content, including text, images, photos, and video content, for use on Social Media platforms.
- Develop and support ongoing Social Media campaigns to build brand awareness and engagement on each channel, track engagement, and report results to the senior team.
- Create and maintain a content calendar with fresh and creative posts & campaigns.
- Work with external partners, licensors, and influencers within the LEGO and board game communities to leverage those relationships for mutual benefit.
- Research and suggest new marketing opportunities and initiatives based on industry news, competitor activities, and Social Media platforms and trends.
- Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will have:
- Willingness and enthusiasm to learn what you don’t know yet and have a passion for continuing education to stay up to date on the Social Media and digital marketing landscape.
- Good creative and aesthetic judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- At least 1 year of professional Social Media experience
- A passion for LEGO, board games, pop culture, and entertainment industries.
And be able to:
- Work well independently and with a team.
- Represent the company in a positive, professional manner.
- Solve problems independently.
- Anticipate potential challenges or problems and work through to resolution.
- Work a flexible schedule, including some weekends.
