Reasons to Believe (RTB) is an international, outreach-oriented, science apologetics ministry. Our mission is to spread the Christian gospel by demonstrating that sound reason and scientific research—including the very latest discoveries—consistently support, rather than erode, confidence in the truth of the Bible and faith in the personal, transcendent God revealed in both Scripture and nature.
We are seeking a full-time Social Media Coordinator to strategically manage and cultivate the Social Media presence of Reasons to Believe. Also to support organizational needs by offering and implementing Social Media-related tactics. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience running Social Media for an organization. Responsibilities/Duties:
Social Media Coordination:
- Ideate and implement strategies for growth and engagement on social networking sites such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn, as well as facilitate the listing and scheduling of videos to the organization’s YouTube account.
- Engage on non-RTB platforms such as Quora and Reddit
- Respond to select inquiries received in direct messages.
- Coordinate and facilitate growth of RTB scholars’ Social Media identities.
- Develop partnerships and cross-traffic collaborations with other key organizations and pertinent public figures.
- Generate reports on Social Media KPIs.
Interdepartmental Organization Support:
- Help create and strategize Social Media support/presence for financial campaigns such as Giving Tuesday, calendar year-end, and Monthly Partner campaign.
- Offer Social Media support/presence for promotional purposes such as webinars or events. Also offer support for Public Relations to post relevant/timely stories/happenings.
- Contribute Social Media strategy and ideas to the Newsjacking Team to create cohesive communications across multiple platforms on a chosen topic.
- Attend local events to collect candid photos and quotes for Social Media as needed.
- Assist in writing assignments as needed.
- Assist with other projects and activities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Self-starter and proactive problem solver
- Proficient knowledge of Social Media networks such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, project management experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of data analytics preferred
- Canva/photo editing skills a plus
- Basic HTML understanding preferred
- Ability to keep up with current market trends and position RTB for relevance in the future
- Able to work independently and as a team member
